Jennifer Allen, City Clerk /Treasurer

Jennifer has been serving the City of Johnson and its residents as City Clerk - Treasurer since January 1, 2001. With over 20 years of service, she has had the opportunity to work with 4 different Mayors and seen a lot of growth and change in the City.

While in office, Jennifer has been a strong advocate for continuing education. She earned her Certified Arkansas Municipal Clerk (CAMC) status in 2012 through the Arkansas City Clerks & City Clerk Association (ACCRTA) and achieved her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation in 2015 through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC). This designation is equivalent to a bachelor‘s degree with over 150 hours of course study in areas unique to municipalities. With 500 cities in the State of Arkansas, there are fewer than 50 Certified Municipal Clerks and Jennifer is proud to be in the elite 10%. Jennifer is now working towards her Master Municipal Clerk designation.

Jennifer and her husband Lamar have two daughters and have lived in Johnson since 1997. In her spare time, Jennifer is the Volunteer Coordinator for the University of Arkansas Children’s Choir and a founding board member and officer of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Choir Coalition.
