Johnson residents can recycle by dropping off their holiday cardboard starting Dec 10th. A trailer for cardboard will be located behind City Hall.
Please be sure that all gift wrap has been removed before dropping off your cardboard.
Residents are urged to be cautious this time of year. The holidays are a time for joy, not theft. That shiny new gadget box left on the curb sends a clear message to criminals that your home might contain tempting targets.
Don't have time time to swing by City Hall? Keep your gifts and your home safe by following these simple disposal tips:
Break It Down: Always flatten or cut up large boxes into smaller, unidentifiable pieces.
Conceal the Evidence: Place the flattened cardboard inside a dark trash bag or your recycling bin, hidden under other opaque garbage, if possible .
Hide Labels: Make sure any shipping labels with your name and address are removed or completely obscured with a marker before disposal
