Washington County has issued an countywide burn ban effective December 25 at noon due to dry conditions and elevated wildfire risk. This ban does not have a expiration date due to fire risk.
All open outdoor burning is prohibited until the bans are lifted, including yard debris, fields, ditches, campfires, trash, brush and other open fires.
Due to the burn ban, fireworks in the Johnson City limits will not be allowed New Years Eve or New Years Day
