The city is working to draft a plan that aims to improve walkability, connectivity, and increase safe routes in our city. We want your opinions and recommendations to be included in this plan.

A public meeting will be held on November 4th from 5:00 PM at Johnson City Hall.

Update! Main Drive Road Closure November 3-7

Part of Main Drive will be closed to traffic November 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7th.

Road closure will be from the intersection of Main Dr and Johnson Mill Blvd to S. Cardwell Rd. This section will be the only part of Main Dr that will be closed to traffic. Drivers will still be able to access Main Dr and Johnson Mill Blvd using Elmore St and Hewitt St detours.

Please plan for alternative routes and watch for detour signs.

A wallet was recently turned in to the Johnson Police Department that was found at Johnson City Park under the pavilion. If you are the owner of the wallet, please visit the Johnson Police Department to claim the lost property. You will need to describe the wallet and some items located inside before we can release it to you. The lobby hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat

You are cordially invited to the City of Johnson’s Annual Trunk or Treat event. Join local businesses, our Police Department, Fire Department, and city employees, for an evening filled with tiny goblins and super heroes.

Event Location: 2115 Main Drive

Hours: 6 – 8 pm

When: October 31st.

All local businesses are welcome to participate. Dress yourself and your vehicle up in your best spooktacular Halloween costumes. Enjoy the fun as kids trick or treat all the trunks.

As a reminder to our residents, Johnson Municipal Code requires property owner and/or renters cut grass and weeds on their property that are over 8” (eight inches) in length. Code enforcement via the police department is in full swing. Please mow your grass/weeds to avoid getting a citation to appear in Court. The code states, in part: Title 5-Health and Sanitation Chapter 5.04.-Land clean up and maintenance C.1.
